Excellence, leadership, and ambition are on full display this academic year as Delhi Charter School spotlights its 2026-2027 Beauties and Beaus. Representing the junior and senior classes, these standout students embody the spirit of resilience, hard work, and community. From the athletic fields to the classroom, here is a look at the impressive students shaping the future at DCS.
Abbigail Searcy
Senior Abbigail Searcy, 17, brings energy and school spirit to campus as a dedicated member of the Varsity Bayou Belles. The daughter of Amanda and Joseph Searcy, Abbigail finds her chief inspiration in her father’s determination in life. A lover of English, she shares her home with two siblings—one older and one younger. Abbigail looks forward to graduating college and pursuing a career in family therapy, getting married, and living by the beach. She lives by a powerful quote from author James Clear: "Create your life, rather than live it."
Marlee Bonner
The daughter of Tonya Gwin, 17-year-old senior Marlee Bonner has built a well-rounded legacy at DCS through her involvement in Cheer, Senior Beta, and Softball. Her favorite subject is English, and her guiding light is her mother. "My mom has taught me to work hard, be respectful, and always treat others with kindness," Marlee says. With the support of her sisters—Presley, Madison, and Josie—Marlee plans to attend the University of Louisiana Monroe (ULM) to fulfill her dream of becoming a registered nurse. She anchors her faith and future in Isaiah 60:22: “When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen.”
Elvis Meadows Jr.
A 17-year-old senior, Elvis is a dynamic force both in the classroom and on the field, balancing his love for Mathematics with his participation in varsity Football and Track. He credits his father, Elvis Meadows Sr., as his ultimate role model. "My father influences me to be the best young man I can be every day, no matter what bad decisions I make or falls I take, because he loves me," Elvis shares. Backed by the love of his family—including his mother, Aerial Perkins, three brothers, and one sister—Elvis plans to major in Business Management in college with the ultimate goal of launching and running his own enterprise. Guided by the motto, "That move you're scared to make might be the best move," Elvis is ready for the future.
Tayven Carter
Senior Tayven Carter, 18, brings a strong focus on technical skill and athleticism to the senior class. The son of Marcus and Christina Carter, Tayven thrives in his favorite subject, Carpentry, and is an active member of FFA, JAG, and the DCS Track team. He names his brother, Marcus Carter Jr., as the person who influenced him the most due to the massive, positive impact he made on his life. Living by the personal philosophy to "Live life with a purpose," Tayven is focused on graduating high school and launching a career as an offshore welder.
Kaylee Osborn
Junior standout Kaylee Osborn, 16, is a familiar face across campus activities, contributing her talents to Varsity Cheer, Softball, Senior Beta, and Student Council. The daughter of Lauren and Justin Osborn, Kaylee excels in English and finds daily inspiration in her outgoing brother, Mason. Looking ahead, Kaylee is focused on graduating and heading to college. Her perspective on life is beautifully captured by her favorite quote from Mikasa Ackerman: "This world is cruel, but also very beautiful."
JoiAnna Reynolds
Sixteen-year-old junior JoiAnna Reynolds is channeling her academic passion for the JAG (Jobs for America's Graduates) program into a bright future. The daughter of Amber Washington and Larry Reynolds Sr., JoiAnna is a proud sibling to Larry Jr., Jordan, Jaycen, Laila, and Landyn. She credits her educator, Mrs. Myers-Davis, as her greatest influence because of her tireless dedication to keeping underclassmen on track and always keeping her on track for success as well. A member of the Student Council, JoiAnna intends to become an ultrasound technician after finishing school. Her life is guided by Proverbs 3:15: "She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her."
Myron Allen Jr.
A true multi-sport athlete, 16-year-old junior Myron Allen Jr. showcases his versatility by competing in Football, Basketball, Baseball, and Tennis. The son of Myron Allen and Andrea Allen, and one of six siblings, Myron finds inspiration in his favorite subject, World History, as well as the legendary work ethic of Michael Jackson. "No matter how much negativity came his way, he kept fighting and never let that stop him from doing what he loved," Myron notes. With an ultimate goal to play in the NFL, Myron lives by the pop icon's wisdom: “Always believe in yourself. No matter who’s around you being negative or thrusting negative energy at you, totally block it off. Because whatever you believe, you become.”
Preston Ezell
Junior Preston Ezell, 16, is building a foundation of strength and service through his involvement in Powerlifting and the FFA. The son of Gary and D’ann Ezell and brother to Levi, Preston thrives in World History. He views his father as his greatest example of what a true man should be. Preston's ultimate future goal is to become an inspiring role model for the next generation while working hard to succeed in all his endeavors. He finds inspiration in the manga Berserk: “But if your dream still lives, if that castle still gleams just as brightly in your eyes, then it is your obligation to lay the stones that surround you now.”
As these eight young men and women step into the spotlight for the 2026-2027 school year, they carry with them the values that define Delhi Charter School: resilience, ambition, and a heart for service. With the unwavering support of their families, teachers, and peers, there is no doubt that these Beauties and Beaus will continue to lay the stones for bright, impactful futures. DCS is proud to have them lead the way.
