Marlee Frith, Rayleigh Raney, and Payton Thomas represented Delhi Charter School at the Sedente Animo Civic Club Cotillion this weekend. Sedente Animo means "with settled purpose" and there motto is "pursuits and deeds that are honorable is our goal". In 1962, a Civic Club was organized with the purpose of bringing together the young women of our community, to benefit themselves and the community in order to keep alive interest in fine arts, to advance and assist in Civic improvement, and to cooperate with and promote interest in educatioun and community service. Several local schools were represented that night. We are so proud of the 3 young Gators that represented our school.

Parents, If your students rode the bus last year, they are assigned to the same bus and same pick up location this year. For new students wishing to ride the bus...If you have not received a call from a bus driver saying that you have a spot, you need to drive your children to school until you hear otherwise.

IMPORTANT SUMMER UPDATE
CHANGE IN THE BOYS WORKOUT SCHEDULE
This week, the boys will workout Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 5:30pm until 8pm.

There will be a special 7:30am workout on Wednesday morning for those that need to attend church on Wednesday evening.

August 3, mandatory practice begins. 5:30pm until 8pm Monday August 3rd through Friday August 7, and Monday August 10 through Wednesday August 12.

School starts for students on Thursday August 13 and practice will be held right after school.

This week, our Delhi Charter FFA Chapter Officer Team took time to prepare for the year ahead at our Chapter Officer Retreat. We were fortunate to welcome the Louisiana FFA State President, who led engaging workshops on leadership, teamwork, and effective communication while challenging our officers to grow as leaders and as a team. Along with learning and developing new skills, we spent time planning events, setting goals, and preparing for an exciting year of opportunities for our members. We’re looking forward to putting these plans into action and making this school year one to remember! A big thank you to the Louisiana FFA State President for investing in our officers and helping them build a strong foundation for the year ahead. The future is bright for Delhi Charter FFA!💙💛

Greetings Gator Family, I hope everyone is enjoying this wonderful summer break. Since school will resume exactly one month from today, here are a few friendly policy reminders for your reading pleasure... 1. Only natural hair colors are allowed (black, blonde, brown, etc.) No blue, green, purple, etc. 2. Backpacks, purses, lunchbags, must be clear plastic or mesh. 3. School polo shirts must be white or navy with the DCS Logo embroidered on the left chest by one of our approved vendors (I will post an updated vendor list soon). 4. School Bottoms must be khaki (color and style). No denim khakis unless its jean Friday. 5. Belts must be worn and shirts must be tucked in for students in grades 3 and above.
