The Varsity Basketball Teams travel to Delta Charter today. Unfortunately the JV Boys game has been canceled. The Varsity Girls will start at 6 and the Varsity Boys will follow.

All items ordered from the DCS FFA Southern Heritage Meat Sale Fundraiser will be delivered to the AG building around 9:30 am on Tuesday, 11/18. Items will be ready to be picked up starting at roughly 10 am. Please understand that it is you and your child's responsibility to pick up your items by 3 pm.

The Junior High Gators Basketball Team will play their last home game tonight vs Morehouse Magnet. The girls will start at 5:30pm. Then we will do a presentation for our 8th graders, and then the boys will play. We don't accept cash at the gate, you will have to scan and pay by phone. WEEKLY HAPPENINGS IN THE SWAMP!

Ms. Sebren's Agriscience 1 classes are closing out their FFA Unit by learning all about FFA Official Dress. They learned how to properly tie a tie, and they recreated Official Dress by playing "Dress to Impress"!

DCS FFA members traveled to the State Fair of Louisiana FFA Public Speaking Invitational. Kenzlee Corley and K'Miaya Fletcher competed in Creed Speaking, and LaShayla Jones competed in Prepared Speaking. Congratulations to LaShayla for placing 3rd!

Thank you to Morehouse Parish 4-H Agent Mrs. Denise for coming to speak and work with the DCS FFA Rabbit Show team yesterday! The DCS FFA Rabbit Show Team currently has 9 members, and throughout the school year, each member must raise and prepare their rabbit for different livestock shows around the state of Louisiana! Our members learned a lot yesterday, and they are ready to take on the State Fair Rabbit Show next weekend!

This past week, the DCS Junior High BETA Club competed at the BETA Regional Summit in Grapevine, Texas. We are pleased to share their accomplishments! They qualified to attend nationals to compete next summer in every division they entered! Way to go BETAs! Bradson Robinson also was selected as a leadership representative (only 2 are selected for each region) and will serve in this capacity through summit next school year!
