Our results are as follows: 🔵 Zachary Bailey placed 1st in Diversified Crop Production, 2nd in Dairy Production, 2nd in Fiber and Oil Production, 2nd in Grain Production, and 4th in Diversified Ag Production proficiency awards. 🟡 Scott Hudspeth placed 3rd in Fiber and Oil Production, 4th in Diversified Crop Production, and 4th in Grain Production proficiency awards. 🔵 Preston Ezell placed 4th in Ag Mechanics - Fabrication and Design and 4th in Ag Services proficiency awards. 🟡 Logan Spruill served as chairman of the Area IV Nominating Committee, and he placed 3rd in the Specialty Animal Production proficiency award. 🔵 Christian Hales placed 3rd in the Veterinary Science proficiency award. 🟡 Kasen Simms placed 4th in the Fiber and Oil Production proficiency award. 🔵 Zachary Bailey, Kaydence Daniels, Coen Guice, Christian Hales, Scott Hudspeth, Crestin Knight, Julie Vandenkooy, and Maddie Wilkins earned their state degrees. 🟡 Our Food Science team placed 8th in the state competition. 🔵 Kenzlee Corley, K’Miaya Fletcher, Addyson Green, Crestin Knight, Emma Maxwell, Leijahron McClure, Ezekiel McKinney, Kasen Simms, Logan Spruill, and Brandon Velazquez served on Courtesy Corp. 🟡 Our chapter was awarded a Bronze ranking in the Livestock Exhibition Award, as well as a Superior Ranking in the National Chapter Award. This is the final fundraiser for JR BETA members raising money for nationals in Nashville, TN. It will be held at the Rayville Walmart THIS Saturday from 11 am - 1 pm. BBQ chicken plates are $10 and include chicken, beans, potato salad, and bread. Sausage on a bun plates are $5.

LHSAA Track and Field State Championships UPDATE: DCS Junior Tayven Carter won his 6th and 7th career individual state championships by becoming the 2026 Long Jump AND Triple Jump State Champion! He won the Gold in the Long Jump with a leap of 23' 2.75". He won the gold and also broke the class 2A triple jump record at 49' 1". #GoTayven #GoGators

The DCS sophomore class of 2028 took a Biology field trip to the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans where they finally got to see the infamous wildebeest in person. Lots of learning and fun was had by all and they represented our school so well. #sophomores #summerapproaching

DCS FFA hosted their first ever end of the year banquet last night, and the entire chapter is incredibly grateful to everyone who came out to support and celebrate our members! It was a wonderful evening recognizing the dedication, hard work, and accomplishments of our students. We couldn’t do it without the support of our parents, school, and community💙💛 Here are a few highlights from a great evening!
