Policy/Handbook Updates for the 2025-2026 School Year
1. NEW BACKPACK/PURSE POLICY
All students will be required to use clear plastic (‘see through’) backpacks, purses, bags, etc. during the school day. Any backpacks or bags used for extracurricular activities (i.e. baseball, softball, dance, cheer) shall be left in vehicles or stored upon arrival at school, as these bags will not be allowed during the school day.
2. Electronics Misuse Consequences
First Offense –
The student will receive a minor discipline referral and the parent/guardian will be notified. For the remainder of the school year, the student will release the device(s) to the Headmaster or designee every morning upon arrival at school. The student will be allowed to collect the device(s) as he or she is departing campus daily.
Second Offense –
If a student is found to be using a different device (other than the one turned in daily) or any attempt to avoid the daily responsibility of releasing said device will result in a major referral and suspension.
*Any infractions after the second offense could result in further punishment as well as recommendations for expulsion from Delhi Charter School at the discretion of the Headmaster or designee and the Board of Directors.
**These changes were approved by the Board of Directors for the safety of our students in May of 2025
