A Few Things (Spring Break Edition) The Gator Store will be open the Monday and Tuesday that we return from Break (April 8th and 9th) The 2023-24 Winter Sports Banquet will be held on Wednesday April 10th in Amber Hall at 6pm. We will recognize Varsity Basketball, Varsity Powerlifting, and JV Soccer. Please check your student's Attendance (located on Report Cards) to be sure that they don't need to attend Seat Recovery. Letters will go home with students tomorrow for those that are near, at, or beyond 10 unexcused absences for the year.

The DCS powerlifting teams traveled to Lafayette, La. for the State Championship meet on March 20th and 21st.  Coach McKinney and Coach Wallace would like to congratulate Kaden Sauseda for winning the 114 lb. State Powerlifting Championship for 1A with an 820 lb total.  Kaden also broke his very own squat divisional state record.  He now holds the new divisional squat record with a 335 lb squat.  Everyone did a great job and we are proud of all of you.  Looking forward to what's to come next year.

The Swamp was represented well on Friday by Tayven Carter, Marcus Carter, Keidron Thomas, and Dede Young at the Many Raising Cane’s Track Meet. This team of four placed 5th overall. Tayven Carter received gold in both long jump and triple jump as well as receiving the MVP award in field events. Marcus Carter took gold in javelin. Keidron Thomas broke both school records in the 100 M Dash with a time of 10.61 and the 200 M Dash with a time of 22.53. The group took third in the 4x100 event.
