Delhi Charter Alumni Spotlight ( Dustin Pierce )
Class Of 2006

Delhi Charter's Jr High and High School FCA Leaders are attending a youth leadership training for huddle groups around campus in Oak Grove, La. We are proud to see our student leaders stepping up to lead in bible study and prayer with other students.
What is a Huddle Group?
A Team Huddle is a targeted study within a unique individual team setting/environment that encourages and challenges team members to live and compete according to biblical principles.
The Team Huddle can be organized to include one or both of the following elements:
Weekly Team Devotion – organized to occur around practice times or whatever works best for the team schedule.
Team Chapel – A game-day gathering designed for athletes and coaches to experience a time of spiritual devotion and fellowship.
Parents,
Please remember that there will be no school Monday, February 17th , and Tuesday, February 18th, for winter break. Classes will resume Wednesday, February 19th.

Parents,
Delhi Charter School's annual parent survey has been posted to the website. We ask that you take a couple of minutes to complete the survey. It will be available until February 27th.
You will find the link to the survey in the blue button bar.
Mrs. Payne's 6th grade English class has been reading about Soil Science, so DCS FFA member Curtis Hall presented a lesson to give them a better understanding of what they are reading about. He taught them all about soil particles and soil horizons, and they even got to make their own soil profile out of different kinds of cereal! Thank you Curtis and DCS FFA!

On Saturday, our DCS Drumline traveled to the Green Oaks Drumlime Competition in Shreveport.
Our Drumline took first place overall! And our Bass Drummers Sam Jones and Joshua Harris won 1st place in the Bass Solo Competition.

DCS FFA is selling strawberries this Spring to help send students to the Louisiana FFA State Convention this summer! A flat of strawberries (which is 8 quarts) is $27, a half flat of strawberries (which is 4 quarts) is $15, and chocolate kits are $16! These are some of the best strawberries around, so we recommend giving them a try to support our students!

Gator Family:
This is a friendly reminder that we are out of school tomorrow for the Stockshow.
Also, students will work virtually on Monday while teachers have professional development.
Parents, this 4 days away from campus would be a great opportunity to wash and sanitize all outerwear (jackets, hoodies, etc.) as well as backpacks.
