Ms. Sebren's Agriscience I classes are wrapping up the school year with an Animal Science Unit. They started off this unit learning about the different breeds of swine, as well as how to properly ear notch them! Ear notching is a form of identification for swine, and to practice, students ear notched their own set of ears for their classmates to read, as well as a piece of bologna!

The DCS Robotics Club recently won a spot to compete at the World Robotics Championship in May. To help cover the costs of the trip, as well as raise money for next season's expenses, we are partnering with the Richland Sheriff's Department to hold a fish plate fundraiser on Monday, April 21st. Plates are $10, and include fried fish, French fries, hush puppies, and dessert. Tickets can be purchased from your favorite robotics member. The plates can be picked up from 11 to 2 in the parking lot beside Delhi City Hall. We'll also deliver local orders of 10 plates or more, so if you're a local business owner this is an excellent opportunity to treat your employees to lunch while supporting a good cause!

Saturday the DCS Drumline went to Jackson Mississippi and performed in a showcase. The Fab 5 definitely made a statement. Gabby Harris was recruited by Alcorn State University, and other members met and networked with other collegiate drummers as well as the head drum instructor at Jackson State University. Zarion Ruffin and Sam Jones will be attending "A Day with the Boom" in Jackson, Mississippi with the Jackson State University Band on April 12th. We are very proud of our DCS Drumline!
